Google Calendar Integration & Google User Data

Health Harmony offers an optional integration with Google Calendar that allows you to import calendar events into your Health Harmony account. Connecting your Google account is voluntary and is not required to use other Health Harmony features.
Health Harmony does not use Google Sign-In. Google authorization (OAuth) is used only to connect the optional
Google Calendar integration.

Information We Access from Google

When you choose to connect Google Calendar, Health Harmony requests limited, read-only access to information necessary to provide the calendar sync feature.

This may include:

  • Calendar list information: Calendar names and identifiers so you can select which Google Calendar you would like to connect.

  • Calendar event information: Event ID, event status, title, start and end date or time, location, description, Google Calendar link, and the event's last-updated timestamp from the calendar you select.

  • Google account email address: Used to identify which Google account is connected and display the connection status within Health Harmony.

Health Harmony requests read-only Calendar permissions. We cannot use this integration to create, modify, or delete events in your Google Calendar.

Health Harmony does not use this integration to access Google Calendar attendees, conference or meeting details, attachments, reminders, organizer identity, or free/busy information. We also do not use the integration to access Gmail, Google Drive, Google Contacts/People, or other Google products.

How We Use Google User Data

Information obtained from Google is used only to provide and maintain the Google Calendar integration.

Specifically, Health Harmony uses this information to:

  1. Identify the Google account you have connected and display its connection status.

  2. Allow you to select the Google Calendar you want to import.

  3. Import events from your selected calendar so relevant appointments can appear within your Health Harmony Calendar, Dashboard, and Timeline.

  4. Periodically synchronize your selected calendar to keep imported information up to date.

Google Calendar links displayed within Health Harmony may direct you back to the corresponding event in Google Calendar. Health Harmony does not write changes back to your Google Calendar.

Health Harmony does not use Google user data for advertising, sell Google user data, use Google user data to train artificial intelligence or machine-learning models, or use your Google Calendar information to provide services to other Health Harmony users.

Imported Google Calendar events are accessible only through your authenticated Health Harmony account unless you independently choose to share information through another Health Harmony feature.

Sharing and Disclosure of Google User Data

Health Harmony does not sell Google user data.

We do not share, transfer, or disclose the contents of your Google Calendar events—including event titles, dates and times, locations, descriptions, or Google Calendar links—to third parties for their own purposes.

To operate the integration:

  • Health Harmony communicates with Google to authenticate your connection and retrieve authorized Calendar information.

  • OAuth credentials necessary to maintain the connection are stored securely and encrypted at rest within Health Harmony's application infrastructure.

  • A local copy of the permitted Google Calendar event information may be stored in Health Harmony's application database so that calendar-related features can function and remain synchronized.

  • Health Harmony may record limited analytics indicating that the Calendar integration has been enabled or connected. Calendar event contents, event titles, and your connected Google email address are not included in analytics data for this purpose.

  • Other Health Harmony services unrelated to Calendar synchronization, such as transactional email or unrelated file storage, are not used to process or store Google Calendar event data.

We may disclose information when required by applicable law or legal process, or when reasonably necessary to protect the rights, safety, and security of Health Harmony, our users, or the public. Any such disclosure will be limited to what is legally necessary.

Storage and Retention of Google User Data

While your Google Calendar remains connected:

  • Google OAuth access and refresh tokens are stored encrypted at rest and retained only as necessary to maintain your Calendar connection.

  • Imported Calendar event information is stored and updated as synchronization occurs.

  • This information is retained for as long as your Google Calendar integration remains connected to your Health Harmony account.

Disconnecting Google Calendar

You may disconnect your Google Calendar integration through Health Harmony.

When you disconnect Google Calendar:

  1. Health Harmony attempts to revoke the associated authorization token with Google.

  2. Stored OAuth credentials and the Google Calendar connection record are deleted from Health Harmony.

  3. Locally stored Google Calendar events associated with that connection are deleted.

Once disconnected, Health Harmony will no longer have access to your Google Calendar unless you choose to reconnect your account and authorize access again.

If you change the Google Calendar you have selected for synchronization or reconnect the integration, previously cached appointments associated with the prior connection are deleted and a new synchronization is performed for the newly selected calendar.

Account Deletion

Google Calendar connection information and imported Calendar events are associated with your Health Harmony account.

If your Health Harmony account is deleted, associated Google Calendar connection records, authorization credentials, and locally stored Google Calendar event information are also deleted.

Health Harmony does not retain Google OAuth tokens or locally stored Google Calendar event content after the applicable connection or account has been deleted.

Google API Services User Data Policy

Health Harmony's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Google user data obtained through the Google Calendar APIs is used only to provide or improve user-facing Calendar synchronization functionality within Health Harmony. Health Harmony does not transfer Google user data to others except as necessary to provide or improve these features, comply with applicable law, or as otherwise permitted under the Google API Services User Data Policy.
